My question is is this too much food for one Piggy as this is what he gets every night, in the mix is
Spinach
Lettuce
Carrots
Broccoli
Cucumber
Pepper
And one big cabbage leaf

Am i over feeding him its just if i dont give him that exact amount he moans at me lol :)
 
also between the spinach,brocolli and cabbage every night i think his calcium intake would be too high maybe replace 2 of these with lower calcium foods the other option if he moans at you is to split the meal into to parts and feed one in the morning and one at night,all my piggies get so grumpy at me if they dont get food twice lolxxxxxxxx
 
i would say yes - too much

i use a small lettuice leaf as a plate and just pine on what i can

that seems to limit me a little

my piggies just leave what they dont want so over supply just means left overs
 
Oh no now i feel terrible knowing that I'm over feeding him, what can i give him thats low in calcium?

i've wondered if I feed them too much fresh but your guidelines Bonnie sound like what I am doing. I have 2 average size bowls that get filled with veggies twice daily between 6. I am guessing that's about or just under a teacup each.

It's hard to know isn't it? And i think as you get more experienced it gets easier right? Being new to it all you're never really sure about rights and wrongs.
 
i was a horribly piggysitter the first time i looked after my sisters,i gave her piggies a carrot and maybe some pepper 2-3 times a weekmalletheadgrrrrgrrrr
i was very stupid and didnt know any better but i learnt very quickly as do most.
besides I'm the geeky one who sits home on a friday and saturday night researching food rations/amounts lol,you will be fine in time your food amounts sound fine to its the calcium ratios that are hard to work out
 
Ive had Bradders for 2 yrs i think its cuz there used to be 2 of them I'm so used to putting enough in for 2.
 
I am sure its easily done, mine eat better than i do
they get first pickings of the veg anyway
 
Bridge loves it

My piggies eat what i eat and last night i tried them on asparagus
Bridge loved it but would only eat from my hand
the girls did not touch it

i just thought - wonder if he will get smelly wee
 
That would feed four of mine for dinner time!
(Mind you, they have breakfast!)
 
Oreo and Merry would like to know if they could live with you? Apparently I'm a horrible mummy as I don't feed them as much as bradders.
