Brain Fart Or Jumping Piggy?

Boris was out for floor time this morning and I had to put him back inside quite quickly (My mum hassled me to put the cats food back in my room, I remove it as I've caught the boys eating it in the past!) So I quickly put Boris back into his cage and I recall putting Readi-grass in both of the boys litter trays. I then went about other things for a good few hours, came back up to my room and I see Boris in Badgers cage, hiding in his pigloo!

I was so flustered by this, I either totally zonked out for a moment and put him back into the wrong cage or Boris jumped over some how (the divider is 1 grid high, they've been seperated this way for a good 7-8 months and this has never happened). I now feel so guilty, Boris has a small cut on and in his nose and Badger appears unharmed, but Boris has barely left his Strawberry house since

I feel so bad, I hope it was me being an absent minded idiot and not him suddenly learning to climb!

His whole mouth area looks red I feel like such a bad owner right now!

Please do not blame yourself. It was easily done and we all make mistakes.

I think its more.likely you accidentally put him in the wrong cage. Dont worry, these things happen x

Thank you both, still feel bad as he's still acting strangely, if he's still acting like this tomorrow he's going to the vet as I'm now quite concerned

He's barely leaving his soft strawberry house and will only eat if I put food near it or lure him out I tried to lure him out by putting some fresh timothy in a pile in his loft and he didn't touch it, so I placed him up there to eat it and he just started launching himself and the divider and then went statue still, it was genuinely scary!

I checked him thoroughly for injuries but there's only the slight cut on his nose, he only really acted himself when I gave him a cuddle and fed him a chunk of cucumber to keep his fluids up. He had a nap on my shoulder too, he's not himself

Sounds like he is just traumatised, poor lad. I use Bachs rescue remedy dabbed on their ears to try to help calm them. It's a herbal calmer and I swear it works. Just make sure he's eating and he will be fine. X
