Breakthrough With Mason

I think my new boy Mason has finally learned to trust me. He & Donny were in their floor time run while I did a full cage cleanout. When I put them back Mason went to sit & munch in the hay tray as usual. What was different is that every time I passed him he just sat there looking at me. Normally there is a mad flurry of hay everywhere as he legs it into his hidey. Three hours since going back in the cage & still no hay flying all over the place! Happy days!

Now just to get Donny more trusting. I still have to confine him at sofa lap time as he always does a runner & would fall off the sofa if I didn't catch him in time.

Great news! Keep on plugging away. Trust is a delicate plant that grows slowly but surely.

Mason came up to the cage bars this morning waiting for me to put down the brekkie veg dish. Donny came half out of his hidey so progress there too!
