Junior Guinea Pig
I wasn't sure which section to post this in, hope it's ok here.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to browse the Guinea Pig Rehome site, even though I definitely am not having any more piggies at the moment (dangerous I know!).
I noticed a few weeks ago that someone is advertising what I can only imagine are piggies that have been bred for selling. I have checked out her website and her home page says, "I offer advice, show you my own collection and any births that are for sale"- this does not sound like a rescue.
I emailed the guinea pig rehome address a few weeks ago but I haven't had a reply and these guineas are still advertised on the site. I'm sure this must be against the ethos of the site, "Whilst Guinea Pig Rehome has nothing against responsible breeders, this site is not intended for breeders to advertise deliberately breed litters or for breeders to find 'stock'."
Has anyone else noticed this and do you think anything more should be done about it? (I'm reluctant to post the web address of the 'breeder' as I don't want to start a campaign against her or anything- but you can probably find the adverts pretty easily on the Guinea Pig Rehome site).
