Breeding

Hi all!

Just wanted to learn a little more about breeding, etc out of interest.
There used to be a section somewhere about breeding guinea pigs but i cant find it.
Anyone know where it is or can point me in the right direction?

Hi This is a rescue friendly forum that is anti breeding so it is against the forum rules to discuss breeding here

Ooops, Claire meant to say anti-breeding, or pro-rescue.

People on here don't discuss or encourage breeding, because like Claire said, it's a rescue friendly forum.

You could check guinea pig websites like guinea lynx, most of them discourage breeding, but they might have some info on the health side of it, but I don't think they have any info on how to breed guinea pigs. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by saying that . . .

Welcome to the forum, I hope you have the chance to have a look around you will find all sorts of useful piggy information in the many threads and stickies.

As has already been pointed out this is a pro-rescue/anti-breeding forum and whilst support is given to members who find themselves with unexpectedly pregnant piggies, i.e. mis-sexed pet shop piggies etc., intentional breeding is not discussed here.
