Hello everyone,
I am trying to assess whether Brian's 'bits' seem a bit on the large size (perhaps swollen) or if it can vary and so they're relatively normal. The only reason I ask is because he has been walking with his back legs spread quite far apart for a while now, and I've been putting it down to the fact he is an older pig, coming up 7, and potentially arthritis, but wondering if it is something else. What do you think? Have tried comparing sizes with my other boars but am finding it tricky to tell. My vet didn't mention it when I took him in today for a checkup but I would welcome any thoughts.

Any full boar owners? The penis tip is looking a but dark to me, have you expressed it to check for semen rods etc.? Do his bits smell more than normal?

They do look on the large side. Some of my boys have large "bits" too. They each look about the same size and don't look red/ sore. But If you were worried I would get him checked out.
Poor piggie the embarrassment of having his bits discussed. Lol.

Thanks everyone, yes Brian did suffer with impaction, and a bit of arthritis in his back legs, bless him. Sad to say he passed away today. Not a good day... He was a really lovely little guy x
