Dear Pumba,

I hope you know how loved you are little one. You fought so hard but your battle was too big and you were oh so tired. Watching you suffer broke my heart and I hope you are free from pain now. We have made so many beautiful memories that I will never forgot. You’ve been there through my battle too and I’m so grateful to have had you by my side. You have brought me comfort in my darkest times. Holding you brought me peace. Feeling your little heart beat, watching you drift off to sleep. You were my best friend. You will always be my best friend. Loyal, brave, cheeky, curious, intuitive, smart, loving. All those words describe you. Dobby misses you, he’s been in your cardboard box most of the week. I know he feels comfort being in there.
I hope wherever you are there’s lots of coriander and cuddles. I hope there’s fields of sunflowers and lots of friends.
Every time I look at the stars I think of you, you are the brightest star up there.
