Brillo came to live with Red after Red and Caspy fell out. They shared a cage for 2.5 years until they had a rolling ball fight. We tried him with several other piggies over time but he only ever wanted to be next to Red where they would wash each others faces through the bars.
Brillo was a cheeky piggy who often made us laugh with his funny ways.
Kicking poop out onto the downstairs neighbours!
He loved trips to the garden when the weather allowed.
The last photo was taken when he first arrived as a young piggy on 14th February. I really hoped he would stay with us until after his 7th gottcha day but it wasn't to be.
Brillo had arthritis in his spine and hips the awkward position be had to stand in to urinate often resulted in sludge in his bladder. He intermittently suffered with respiratory problems after a nasty pnuemonia in 2021 which had resulted in him being on Baytril for 2 months. He really was a fighter.
With no Red to keep him occupied he amused himself by going across the room to annoy Duck and Bertie. Yesterday he didn't go on his travels or eat not even his favourite grass. This morning we felt it was time to let him go.
Brillo is going to be missed by us all but he will never be forgotten.
Free of pain now and reunited with his best mate Red.
