We have been growing broccilli in the garden for the gps, but as it's organic, the main heads are so small its barely enough for all the gps, not like when * buy it in the shops, but i just wanted to check, can gps eat all of the stalk plus the leaves? if they can, then the brocilli wont go to waste, but if they are not allowed it eat it, then we wontbe growing it again next year as its not worth it.

thanks natasha xx

I feed them everything. Well not everything, I don't feed them roots but leaves, heads and stalks. Pickle isn't one for any of it but my fosters and girls love it.

great, thanks for letting me know. I think i have about 10 or so more growing in the garden, but have already cut the heads off, so it's basically only the stalks and leaves left, so i shall shall start using them. I assume it is rich in Vitamin C also like the heads?

ok thanks about the calcuim - i didn't even know that! doh - i dont them brocilli everyday, normally around 2-3 times a week if that.

You should check the calcium ratio sticky but I have broccoli down as a low calcium veg. I grew some on my allotment and it failed miserably, just stalks n leaves with tiny little heads. The piggies still liked it but got bored of it after a while, so did I :))
