Aww I feel so guilty seeing him parting from you and his little friends!

We have just got back and he is a little nervous so I have set up the spare cage for him, got a few pics, but will get much better ones once he is a little more confident!

It's over to you now Jenny :) I was all sad on the way back and still am now seeing his empty cage but I know he needs companionship and now he has it! I'm so happy it's worked out and would like to thank everyone for their support and offers with finding my little dude a home x

There was almist a fight to take the photo of him and his brothers, so don't worry about him missing them cuz I'm sure he's better off away from those two xx

He really is a cuite and when I first saw him I would have loved him for myself but I don't think Enoch would have been happy sharing his wives!

I hope it all works out well with Ernie and that they live happily ever after :) xx

No enoch wouldn't have been the slightest bit happy! Brock had had his eye on a few ladies himself ;)

Thank you for your lovely words x

So sorry you got upset on the way home, I understand how horrible it is. :0

I have given him some more veg but he is hiding at the back of the cage bless him, hate the beginning bit! He is adorable though! xx

Ahh my boyy! :D

Introduced them in the bath tub on a towel cos I didn't want to get attached and wait then find they clashed but so far so good, the baby humped Ernie a few times but then they shared lettuce and when I came over they got nervous and went closer to each other! :)

If there was no problems in the first half hour i think its very positive, next step is a cage. He is a gorgeous little piggy x

I am going to move him in at the weekend after it has had a good clean, and I am more confident about them, they spent about 20 mins together and there was just humping and rumbling, no chattering and no heads in the air! xx

It's so so positive! They have nothing really to fight about with no females around, of course some pigs do just clash but if you are delicate like you are being then it should stay smooth x

Aww, adorable little fellow. Hope it all continues to go well for him. :)

Just to add - with boars it's best no to keep separating them but rather when you are ready to do the introductions be prepared to 'see it through' with a view to having them living together permanently - the difference with boar and sow bonding is that boars need to have that initial sort out period and each time you separate you un-do all the hard work and bond that may have progressed - each time you put them back together they have to start from step one all over again.

If you can have their cages next to one another for a few days before the actual meeting that will help when it comes to putting them together permanently.

When bonding my sows/neutered boar things were slightly more complicated and took a few weeks of meetings, lots of swapping of cage accessories (so they get used to each other smells), and a couple of bonding baths. When they were supervised for over 9hrs, we then had the daily supervision for over 2wks while they sorted out their differences - it was/looked pretty brutal, but we made sure no piggy was without access to food/water and that each was able to walk freely around the cages without fear - very different from bonding my boars!

With any bonding ive done, it's always been done quite early on in the morning. I set up the 'neutral territory' around 9am and observe for a few hours - with my boys i watched for around 3hrs before moving them in to a fully cleaned/re-arranged cage (with completely new furniture and trying to avoid things like hidey houses for the first few days - draped towels or an offcut of fleece clipped to the sides/corners of the cage make a good hiding place but with no way of either piggy becoming trapped).

The initial meet sounded like it went well - so there's really no reason why they shouldn't be living together...

Good luck :)

I agree once they are happy with each others company i wouldn't keep seperating them as like sodapops said once they have sorted out whats what every time you seperate its all undone. Could you not clean out your temp cage till the weekend to keep them in so you can keep an eye on them? :)

My boy is happy and that makes me really really happy that I did the right thing in finding him a partner! Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight as I've barely slept since he went :) <3 you always Brock/Igglepiggle x thank you Jenny x
