I do hope that you have had some news from thwe store as many other members have said you did what you thought was best at the time for the piggy and put faith in the person who sold the piggy to you and their advice.

Itis possible for such a young piggy to be operated on I had a two week old piggy at 212g operated on for an umbilicle hernia (by a very experienced vet) and he came through it just fine and is now much older and doing really well.

I am sickened by the advice you were given but this is not your fault I do hope you hear back from the shop and there is good news about the piggy concerned. If you can get the piggy back and take it a a vet for treatment I would urge you to do so.

Huge hugs to you this must have been a horrid experience and I hope it has a good ending.

omg the vets will know more that the pet shop owner . even if they dont deal with a lot of piggies what is the update did you bring him home or have you left him . dont worry none of us will go against you if you have left him"):(

I'm sure this thread is in the best interests of the piggy,i was not judged for joining with my thread about my piggies fractured back so i will not judge this person either, there could be a number of reasons why they havent returned but saying what you said is not going to make it easier for them:( ,these sorts of actions by petshops are very common so i have no doubt that it is true.
Yes, I too hope that the OP was looking for help and not just someone trying to see what we would all say...Sadly, I've seen many in my forum days. And I was Not the only person to post a question regarding such in this post. ....my apologies if i was wrong...i am here for the piggies as well and have learned alot from everyone...I do hope all went well with the baby
