Hi one of my son’s Guinea pigs has a broken tooth will she be ok I can’t afford to take her to the vet right now so I’m just hoping that it will grow back on its own and I won’t have to take her to the vet

It's always better to get a broken tooth vet checked, but of course it depends a bit on the kind of breakage. Is it a clean break or is the tooth cracked. If it is cracked, a vet trip would be important.
Is your piggy able to eat in her own?
Is she able to eat hay? If not, you have to support feed her.
Is she able to eat veggies? If not, you have to cut the veggies into stripes and maybe handfeed her.

Teeth usually grow back pretty fast if it is a simple break, but it can be more complicated. Do you know how the break happened?

:agr: It depends on the break, where it has broken and if piggy is still able to pick up and eat hay. It’s always best to have a vet check a broken tooth to be sure it is going to be grow back properly

Are you able to speak to the vet about a payment plan? Or would you be able to borrow the money from a friend or relative? Hopefully it’s a clean break and doesn’t need much.

Below is the list of vets in US. Hopefully you can find one within reasonable distance. Let us know how you get on.

My Edward broke his bottom incisor a couple of months ago. He was able to eat and the tooth grew back normally within a few weeks. If your sons piggy is able to eat as normal, I wouldn't worry too much but you may need to cut her veg in to thin strips to make it easier for her to eat and if she is having trouble eating hay and pellets, then a trip to the vets will be needed

One of mine broke a tooth while he was at the vet's! It happened as he was coming round from an anaesthetic, so at least he was in the right place to have it checked. I was advised to watch him closely to make sure he could eat but post-surgery I would have been doing that anyway.
I hope your piggy is OK x

A broken front Tooth will generally grow back fine in about 3 weeks provided that it not broken at or below gumline, which if that’s the case the tooth root can become infected causing the tooth to regrow rather oddly. But the vast majority grow back fine. This link will show you in photos how the tooth will gradually grow back

Both of her teeth are clean breaks I noticed this morning that her other one broke off as well and yes she is able to eat
