Last night i was having a cuddle with poppy and because of the way i had her lying i noticed that in the corner of her lip it has split and there was a little bit of blood and one of her teeth is shorter than the other. she seems like she is still able to eat.

is this serious?

Noo the tooth will grow back, i have a pig that manages to lose his all the time.

Id watch the cut though and make sure it don't get infected, should be fine though.x

It should heal itself, check the other incisors aren't loose, odds are it's just "one of those things". Teeth grow in very quickly, it can take as little as 3-5 days depending on how much has broken off.

A break like your discribing is normally from a trauma, usually falling or being dropped. Thats the most likely cause if she's split her lip. Its not serious providing the teeth are still alined and can wear one another down and that there are no sharp edges to cut her lips/tongue on.
Have a look at her other teeth, make sure theyre not loose, that there all alined and that there are no sharp edges. Keep an eye to make sure shes eating and if theres any problems maybe book an appt with a vet, teeth can be burred down so that sharp edges are removed. But it sound like shes ok.

x.

ye ive just introduced a ramp into their cage. she isnt too keen on it but its possible that she woud *** skidded down it and then banged her head maybe. she seems alright now though.

thanks :)
