Broken Water Bottle Question

Unfortunately, both of the water bottles that I use for my guinea pigs broke, today (odd coincidence, right?). I won’t be able to get to the pet store to buy new ones for two more days, so I’m worried for my guinea pigs. Will they be okay if I give them extra cucumber and lettuce for the next two days? Should I give them a small bowl of water, or something?

You can give them a bowl. Just be prepared for the amount of ridiculous stuff that will end up in it - hay, bedding, food, poop. A bowl that they can't tip would be better too because if they can tip it, they probably will. I speak from experience on that one.

In what way have they broken? Have you tried fixing?

One time my water bottle broke for my piggies. In the mean time before i could get new one i used a ceramic water bowl for them. They quickly learned how to use it and since it was ceramic they couldnt tip it over. Surprisingly no poops ended up in the bowl at all for the two days it was used. All that got in there were little pieces of hay and the pigs didnt mind. It is always a good idea to have an extra ceramic bowl lying around incase a water bottle breaks. My pigs were happy when i got new bottles tho
