I have spot cleaned one of my cages a few mins ago and the vetbed is covered in brown stains. I'm wondering if its anything to do with my boar who has just joined the girls a couple of days ago. I havent noticed any stains before but the vetbed was brown in colour and the new vetbed is lilac so it may have just gone unnoticed in the past. I have checked each one of their bottoms and none seem to have any poo around them so I dont know whether one of them has a bad bottom or its Elvis. Help!

I have noticed sometimes when poo is wee'd on when bedded on fleece it turns into a pile of sludge so maybe that is it. Have you fed them any beetroot / red peppers recently as that can make wee red and maybe that is what you are seeing mixed with the lilac could look brown?

I've noticed the same when Llewi gets overexcited; probably peeing and pooing at the same time...

Guinea pigs wooing is not for the fainthearted! I hope Elvis is starting to come off the testosterone now, but then, he's got so amny girls to chase after, he must be worn out by now!

They had red peppers a couple of days ago so that could be it but then they probably wee all over their poo which could explain the stains too. I probably just havent noticed it as their vetbed was brown before.
Thank you for replies :)

Urine can oxidise and can naturally turn a rusty colour. Most of the time, rusty coloured pee is quite normal.
And, as you say, it may just be a case of having gone unnoticed before or be related to the poops!
