Brownpig still has a big hole in his side. Was a bit pus-y this morn, so has been washed with hibiscrub an extra time.

He is still on antibiotics and painkillers. Lump has gone down a lot, but is still there and is hard. Not sure if it hurts him, does when you squeeze it, but thats not surprising! Doesnt like the washing, probably more because we both get wet rather than it hurts. He is losing a bit of weight but i think it is the antibiotics and i have him on a probiotic to try and help. He is eating and pooping constantly, is happy and shiny and bright eyed and is causing trouble.

He has pellet mash and readigrass and hay and dry pellets all the time, and almost constant veg supplies. Buddy is putting on weight, Brownpig is still slowly losing it. We are back to the vets in a few days for another followup, and we will discuss when to come off the abs, as i suspect they are why he is losing weight.

Any suggestions of how i can put some more weight on him?

If it's still weeping & feels hard again I really think you need to look at getting the Zithromax AB instead. My Daisy spent 4 days on Septrin, then at her check up Simon the vet decided he wasn't happy there was a hard bit at the lower end of the wound, so we had a few days of Zithromax. You can't even see Daisy's scar now, just the shaved fur on her leg.

Aww, cutie pie! Hope he starts to feel better soon! Sending him healing vibes...

cuuute

How cute is he with his little paws together, looks like he's just about to break into a song & dance routine.

If his sore hasn't healed in a couple days I'd def ask the vet :)
