So as you may know, Bruin and Little Bear were found by someone in a fried chicken box in October, so I took them in. (For context, it was 90s F which is too hot for pigs, in a tightly closed box but the past owners had punched air holes in the top of the box as if that was going to help.) A few weeks later Bruin went to the vet and was diagnosed with heart failure, and then was pts a few days ago. I didn't know Bruin long yet it still hurts all of us, despite me knowing it was the right thing to say goodbye and I feel no regret over that. He was starting to become outgoing and loved to pester his brother. He was learning what the sound of a bag opening meant, and would start wheeking when he heard it. He was becoming brave enough to come to the side of the cage to beg for food and was getting used to me. Like my other rescued guys, he wasn't fond of people touching him or being picked up, and wasn't handled well by past owners. At least for the last month of his life, he got to be loved and respected again, but that doesn't make me feel any better about his loss. He was cremated and we have a paw print made. Even if he wasn't here long I still wanted to give him the respect of returning his ashes to me.

I am sorry you lost Bruin so soon, he was lucky to find you. You gave him a very happy and loving home at the end of his life. It's sad he didn't get to spend longer with you, you did all you could for him.
Sending you hugs and my very best wishes.
RIP sweet Bruin.

So sorry for your loss. What a lucky boy Bruin was to spend his last few weeks loved and cared for by you.

RIP Little fella. ❤

So sorry you had to make the kindest decision for Bruin, it’s so sad, but you gave him a good happy life while you had him, sending hugs x
Sleep tight little man 🌈

So sorry for your loss, you made his last month a happy and loving one, popcorn free Bruin ❤️🌈

So sorry for your loss. ❤ It's a difficult decision to make and it never gets any easier. Take care of yourself and I hope little bear is doing ok.

I'm so sorry, I'm sure that kindness you showed him will stay with him whenever he may go. Some people don't deserve guinea pigs.

So sorry for your loss.
He knew that he was loved and cared for even if for only those last few weeks and that is a special gift.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve
