brushing

so does anyone here brush their guinea pigs even if they have short hair?
i have read in a few books that it helps build a bond between the owner and guinea pig.

just wondered what everyone else does

I don't brush short haired piggies. Long haired ones, yes with a cat comb, also got a detangler one too somewhere

JoJo hates a comb through anyway!

I will sometimes give me my short haired a quick brush over - especially if they have been burrowing in the hay - but on the whole, tend to focus my grooming efforts on the long haired piggys who get brushed/combed everyday.

We brush Duke and he's a short hair but only monthly or so

I have a baby brush and both my pigs are shorthaired so whenever i can think of it i give 'them a bit of a brush

I brush my long haried piggy about once a week and the short haired one gets a quick brush over-especially if he is malting

I brush all four of my piggies every day - only one is semi-long haired, the rest are short haired.

It's a soft brush, just to get rid of any dust and dirt, plus it brushes away their loose fur.
