Yes they can eat them , but sparingy ,
To much of any veg can cause tummy problems
 
I have given mine a couple of the leaves before, they didn't like them. They are not my favourite either lol.

I hate them myself so would only be buying them for the pigs. Someone posted a video of guinea pigs devouring brussel sprouts on my FB wall so I've been wondering about it since then.
Guess I'll just have to give it a go. Always so scared I might cause bloat in them. I guess i could start with one cut in half maybe (shared between two pigs). They've been fine with cabbage in the past.
 
We gave ours a few of the outer leaves at Christmas, and I ave to say they weren't overly keen.
I think as long as they are fed in moderation they should be ok.

I saw that video too. That was ALOT of brussel sprouts and quite a few piggies too mind you. I bet there was some gassy piggies after that lol.
 
I think I know the video - they have a herd of about 50 sows and the plate was '1 sprout per pig' but I'm guessing some ate other's shares!
