Unfortunately, after promising first dates with both Harvey first and then Gulliver second poor little Buddy has had to come back to me to live on his own. I want to thank Zombieprincess for trying so hard with them and looking after him so well. He did suffer a few bites but has healed up nicely and when looking at him I can only see one under his chin where the fur hasn't quite fully grown back yet. Nevertheless he is well and happy and popcorning around as usual, just sad he didn't find a life long friend.

I'm going to let him have a bit of a rest this week and will hopefully pop some new pictures up next weekend with some information and see if anyone is interested in homing him with a friend.

I am sorry that things didn't work out for Buddy.

Would you consider trying to use a boar dating rescue that is a bit further afield? Or have Buddy neutered by Simon Maddock in Northampton?

Thanks Wiebke, the thing is Buddy is a temporary resident for me and I'm trying to find him a new home. I can't afford to keep him long term as I know it will mean a bigger cage and at least one more piggy and whilst that sounds ideal to me I do need to be realistic. He is very placid and I think neutering to live with females may be good for him but I will struggle to pay for this at the moment (very good cavy savvy vet is one minute walk from me) however I am willing to look after him throughout the post neuter safety period if anyone wanted to consider this for him.
