image.webp Attempting to bond Buddy and Peanut at the moment. Some Rumblestrutting from Peanut but Buddy's just brup brup brupping back. Hoping it goes ok. Peanut is making brup brup noises too so it's looking ok.

image.webp Still some rumblestrutting. However Buddy (ginger) keeps trying to lye down beside peanut. Peanut runs off rumblestrutting. Not sure if peanut likes buddy. But buddy appears to like peanut.

image.webp Sleeping apart. Not sure if this is good or bad.

It's not the sleeping that's usually the issue - it's when they wake up again after a nap that it can be a bit hairy - it's like the grumps set in. Hope all continues going well

Each piggy pair of different so sleeping apart isn't necessarily a bad thing! As long as there is no sustained teeth chattering etc rumbling is fine...fingers crossed it works out for you!

It never worked. Bit sad but I tried. I am going to try and re do all the cages so each of the boys has a 2x4 cage in an L shape. So they can see each other through the bars. It's the best I can come up with.

It was Peanut that didn't want anything to do with Buddy. Buddy was trying his best, he was literally commando crawling up to Peanut to get closer to him. As when he walked up to Peanut, Peanut ran away chattering his teeth and rumblestrutting. So Buddy crawled nearer so peanut wouldn't react. lol. He was trying his best but it ended with Peanut lunging at Buddy quite violently. So I decided to separate them as at every turn Peanut wanted away from Buddy. I didn't think it was fair. On either of them and a fight would be inevitable.

Peanut was a lone piggie for 7 months before I got him, this may be the problem. He's probably best alone with interaction through the bars.

Buddy really wanted to be friends. It was Peanut that wasn't interested. It's a shame. As Buddy needs a friend. ;(

I don't want to pair him with Fudge as Fudge seems happy alone after Peanut bit his ear in half. Also Fudge is getting older too and Buddy is quite energetic.

Decided to go for it and am trying to bond fudge with buddy. Don't know if it will work as some teeth chattering from Fudge time will tell.

Wishing you the best of luck with the new bonding! Crossing my fingers for you x

I don't think it's going to work either both of them are agitated. Chattering at each other. Fudges hairs standing on end. ;(
