Well someone has obviously been having a few lessons from the noisy Miss Jemima rolleyes ! Now Jemima has a set of lungs on her bigger than all my other piggies put together, in fact I think they've given up wheeking for veggies because she's so good at it (and they're lazy :))).

Anyway I was chopping up veg today, one big bowl for my four and a small bowl for Buddy. I took the veg over to my four and walked back to the kitchen picked up the small bowl and said "give it a rest Jemima you're veggies are already there" only to notice she was already eating and the noise was in fact coming from the new resident, Buddy! I was gobsmacked as although he's made a little noise he has only been here a week today and it looks like he's already comfortable enough to boss me around :x

I have been trying to convince my brother to get a hutch and then pair Buddy up with a friend but he's having none of it which is a shame cos then I'd get to go over and still have cuddles with him all the time hehe

lol. Some of my piggies wheek more than others, but Miss sabeene wheeks are sooo high pitched. She gets so excited at veggies time and stars wheeking and popcorning around the cage....

hehe Buddy popcorns everytime I fill up his hay, change his water or give him veggies, its so lovely to see but I don't think he had veggies where he came from unfortunately. Bea used to wheek a lot but she's a funny old creature, think she would just rather leave it to the young 'un who lets her know when the food has actually been put out... only problem is Jemima wheeks at everything... any slight noise... the fridge or freezer opening and I'm sure the whole street can hear her :))

Lol! Sounds like Rocket, he wheeks at everything and together with Moonpig at mealtime they put on quite a performance. I think it may be rubbing off on the others, certainly Wallace who has always been as quiet as a mouse, now he's starting wheeking for his noms! :))

Reminds me of what happened with my boys.

Gilbert and Ludwig never squeaked at me for food. They'd just come up to the edge of the cage (which Ludwig is doing as I type) and he'd poke his nose through to get my attention. If I didn't notice he'd chat his teeth to get me to do it.
I then adopted Arthur, a baby Aby and once I bought them to be in a cage near my older boars, Arthur would squeak for food. Since then, my oldest boar, Gilbert, squeaks his head off for food (a noise I'd never heard from him before!).
They still do their old habits, chatting, poking the head through the bars and standing up but now they shout at me (or bite the bars). A chorus of four. It used to be just one, Arthur. xD
