Hi all,

With the forum down I have been fretting and ordering my piggies not to get sick or worry me when I don't have my support network. So being the well behaved boy he is Buddy waited until this morning!

Buddy already has what I believe is called cauliflower willy (correct me if I'm wrong). Now I check my boars bits every other day and in six years have never actually had to clean up more than a bit of poop. But today, Buddy had a smelly, white-ish sort of gunk 'there' and was understandably cross about being manhandled. I cleaned it all up and there was about a teaspoon full there.

This is probably a silly question with a logical answer but is this normal? And if it is why have I never encountered this with my other boys?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

Could it have come from one of your other boys? That's the only thing I can think of.

No. It was sort of 'up there'. It came out quite easily despite Buddy's unhelpful squirming.

I was just wondering what it is and why I've never seen it before.

Forgot to add he is perfectly alright in himself (eating and drink) he just smells really . . . 'randy' all over my clothes which is quite unpleasant.

It could be boar glue and is perfectly natural.

I normally find it on bedding, and if it dries its impossible to get off...hence the name "glue"

It could also be the substance that they use to scent mark, which is again perfectly normal. If it was extremely smelly, then its probably that.

Thanks. I'm suprised I've not encountered any of this before. Maybe my others boys are just calmer!

I have just found a load of the stuff on my dressing gown . . . it has dried rock hard. Yuck!

I'm going to have to wash it now! Please tell me boar glue comes off?! :red :...

Sounds like boar semen (called boar glue in its dried state for rather obvious reasons). It is VERY smelly indeed!
