Building a gp cage

I'm converting under my stairs into a guinea pig house but i dont know what wood can be used that is gp safe and i would need to get this from a hardware store like homebase or wickes help would be much appriciated.

Not sure I’m afraid. If you have a search I’m sure you will find it. Just make sure there is enough space for the minimum size. 2 Boys ideally 180x60cm (150x60cm minimum). 2 Sows 120x60cm.

Any untreated softwood timber in hardware stores will be safe to use

I have 3 sows the area is a little bigger than 2x5 c&c size so plenty of room
