Building a loft in a wider cage

Hi all!

Does anyone know how to build a loft on a wider than 2 grid cage? My cage will be 4-5 grids wide and unsure how to add the support bar?

Mmm I’ve never seen that done but providing you use cable ties as extra support and an upright grid supporting the loft I’d reckon it would be ok - maybe you could use bamboo cane threaded thru the loft floor as an extra support ? Just an idea

You can support it with a piece of wood or a curtain pole run through the grids and cable tied or taped to the floor grids of the loft. I have mine just supported with a grid in the cage half way along.


You can just see it in above photo, the loft is 4 grids long. I don't use the support bar in 2 wide lofts with cable ties the loft is strong enough without.

Okay I think at this stage the stuff around factor/clean up would be painin the bum!but this is our new cage! There has been popcorning. Just the girls aren’t used to being so low to the ground! So worth it to be able to have this view while watching tv though.
