So tomorrow I'm hoping we can get the new piggie cage started.

It will be two tiered something like the one in the picture below but the sides and back will be melamine rather than perspex and the front will be perspex, it'll have wheels so we can move it around properly and rather than wood legs it's going to have metal table legs.

I'll try and remember to take some pictures as it's being made (I am very forgetful). It's costing around £187, if I've added it up correctly lol.

These are the materials being used:

2 sheets of 25mm MDF - £60

2 sheets of 4mm perspex - £41.36

3 rolls of no nails - £11.85

Aquariam sealant and gun - £8.32

4 wheels - £4.97

4 Ikea Adils legs - £9

3 sheets of Melamine board - £40.38

Edging tape - £4.20

Fablon - £8.99

Bolts and penny washers - £3 ish.

The top will be just bigger than a 2x5 and the bottom will be 5cm shorter than a 2x5 length ways but will be 5cm wider width ways, if that makes sense? lol. I did get the MDF bigger but I didn't realise how big the leg plates were so they sort of take some space from the length of the bottom.

Sort of started it but the perspex was meant to be here yesterday and it didn't turn up, the company I bought it from are bs'ers lol, when I emailed they said yes it should be with you today (Monday) blah bah blah, turns out it hadn't even been booked in, I got an email later on from the delivery company to say it was coming today...

So some bits have been done but my son was doing my head in a bit so not as much as I hoped was done. Also discovered the wood yard had slight bent one of the sheets of MDF which we only noticed after the legs plates were put on. Plus we are both sort of ill today. We'll get it done XD

Lol XD Thank you. The perspex actually turned up today, thing is, they sent us some that wasn't even ours lol, 14 smaller sheets, so I've had to email them to try and get them picked up... our sheets turned up this morning. I'm hoping we can do some work on it tomorrow.

It will look great when its done.... these things take time... don't forget the photos of each stage.. x

Pahaha each stage? You should have seen Aidan wreck the fablon! I wasn't very happy seeing how it cost me £9 a roll lol. I should have took a pic of that as a warning LOL.

Here you go @artcasper hehe
