After weeks of putting it off...I finally got my act together and built the hay loft that my boys deserve.
My plans went a bit wrong and then I found a solution.

The ramp was originally like a death slide. It was pretty much straight...
I had no idea what to do and then it came to me!
CUBE PLATFORM!

As you can see, Arnold was inspecting it for me.

And here we have it. Their new cage is finally complete!
They moved out of my room a few weeks back and into the spare room (It was my niece's room but my brother has now moved out.)
I traded in their manky white correx for some snazzy green correx! And swapped the 2x4 for a 3x3 and I have to say that my boys approve! It looks better and bigger.

Ralph however...Overturned the fleece AND towel under the platform...And pee'd straight on the correx :)>>> NAUGHTY BOY!

Omigosh! Update!
Soon ^-^ I know!

But I just went upstairs and BOTH boys were up in the hay loft, sprawled out!

I was so happy. I was praising them...But my dad wasn't amused.
He was actually really angry that I was talking to them :))
I was petting them and going "Good boys! Good boys! You're so clever! I love you, you're just sooo smart~ You're the best~"

I'm just over the moon. They had an upstairs on their old cage when they first moved into my room and they wouldn't go near it!
So I didn't think they'd bother with this either...It was a looooooong shot.

But they're up there! Munching hay and chilling it!

Oh! I'm a crazy lady but I'm SO HAPPY :(|):(|):(|):<>:<>:<>

Well they may not be fussed but I LOVE it!

I say give them time - my lot took a while first time with ramps, I bet they start soon.

I love that nest thing BTW the wicker one - where is that from?

I got it from The Ark for £4.99.
I think Pets at Home do them, aswell, for about the same price, I think they might be about 50p cheaper.
Did you see that video of Joanne's where Fred headbutted that thing and it came back to get him?
That's what it is :)) I thought that if Fred loved it so much, then my boys would surely enjoy one, too!

They're good value, actually. Normally these wicker products cost a fortune.

Love it, it looks great! :)

P.S. Please can I have Arnold! LOL! :<>

I did see that vid, is that the same thing? It's a very good idea.

So pleased they are using the loft now.

Yup. It's the same thing. I've just turned mine in it's side, which is why it looks a bit different.

I just love his parsley face video! He's so gorgeous, but so is Ralph of course! x>>

Arnolds parsley face is priceless. I never get bored of watching him eat parsley :)) it's almost like he struggles to fit it all in!

It looks really good! I like the platform :)

It's exciting to have a new cage, isn't it?!

Very :))
For them and us!
It's so weird how we get all excited over the things we give them. It really does just make me happy to see them living their lives in the best way I can allow them to.

It looks really goo - I so love Arnold's bum sticking out from underneath. why does a piggy always think that it's safe as long as it's head in wedged in? mallethead

You may find that you want something around the edges of the hay loft to keep the hay from going everywhere once the boys have had a good romp!

I know. It's like "If I can't see you, you can't see me." rolleyes Silly little sweeties.

Something around the edges might be a good idea. I woke up today to find hay spilling out of the sides. I used grids with really small holes to try and prevent this but I didn't think about the gaps on the corners or between the other grids!
I think my brother might have some correx going spare, so I'll ask him.

Well done! Seems that your boys do approve. Can we get some pics with them up in the hay loft? pweaseee..:)):))

:(|) Sure. I'll catch them out when they're distracted by the noms
