Bum baths

so one of my guinea pigs Grape has really thick fur, and seems to lay in some of her wee...
Her fur near her bum is usually wet, and the fur gets matted easily. Her hair isnt long enough to trim, so I was wondering if I should start giving her bum baths?

That would be advisable. Use piggy friendly shampoo if in UK then gorgeous guineas sell a great range.

Only need to Baff the bum though in a shallow bowl

When I had Donald (he was a long hair) I used a face cloth and some hibiscrub diluted in water to clean around his bum/man bits area once a week to keep him clean and prevent any infections. Poppy is my Swiss piggy and she doesn't get as bad as Donald did but sometimes she needs a wash too
