So my little sow Bumbalina (she who was named in honour of my dear departed Bumble) was spayed today now that she is 16 weeks old - op over and done with in a few minutes (as my vet Rachel is a piggy specialist who spays all her own sows and has spayed my two older ladies - cost £81 (low because the surgical time was minimal - she can "whip them out in a few minutes" the price included an emiprid injection and I was quoted the usual £98 - £113 when I took her in this morning.
Bumbalina is at home now, sleepy but munching and pooping - just got to keep an eye on her wound, which has been glued together - so if all goes well I should be able to try and bond her with Humphrey in 3 weeks.

All the best for a good recovery!

Well we have a big pile of poop in her poo corner and a bit inside her house where she was too sleepy to move about so much last night - she shot out of her house at the sound of the salad bag rustling and shot back in with a large piece of lettuce - you wouldn't think that she had had a op.

That is wonderful news!

I hope that she has as smooth a recovery as my Cariad did - she didn't even lose any more weight that her organs and just bounced back. She was with Bryn all the time and I put them back with the group as soon as I was sure that she was eating and pooing normally and holding her weight; that was on day 2 after the op.
