Hi All
I’m new to the forum. My Guinea has Bumblefoot which I was trying to treat.with Epsom salt baths and savlon etc to no avail. I took him to the vets and was given antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication along with antiseptic liquid to bathe his feet. This really hasn’t made that much of a difference. I had to bathe his back end as he really isn’t moving now due to the Bumblefoot and doesn’t moves even if he has passed urine or droppings. When I was cleaning his back passage a strange white thing was poking out and became more and more prominent It eventually came out I’ve never seen anything like it. I took a couple of pictures if I can post pictures on here I will. It would be really helpful if anyone could give me some advice on both the Bumblefoot and strange white Anomaly. 037E6F65-66F0-4D0D-A7B7-8156AEEFADD2.webpCB3045D3-CFF5-4DBF-8A7E-4BE442390485.webp037E6F65-66F0-4D0D-A7B7-8156AEEFADD2.webp

The white thing looks to be a sperm rod

I’ve not had to deal with bumblefoot personally but clean and dry bedding along with the medication will help but to my knowledge it’s not always an easy and quick road. How long has he been having the medication?

Hi!

I agree that this a serm rod - semen fluid that has dried in the penis shaft.
It is one of the typical boar problems listed in our boar care guide (with pictures): Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths

There is unfortunately not one single successful treatment for bumblefoot but there are a number of different approaches. Please contact your vet and see whether you can discuss the issue over the phone as the first attempt has not worked.
Here is some hopefully helpful information: Guinea Lynx :: Pododermatitis
