Bilbos bu,blefoot is getting worse. For a while it got better but the last few days or so it seems to have swelled alot :(

I'm currently doing chlorheixidine soaks twice a day and some ointment from gg.

Ive just given him a dose of baytril and metacam. I have enough for a few days so i think a trip to the vets may be in order.

Any ideas..?

aye ive read that I'm gonna try strapping it inbetween soaks and maybe alternate between epsom and chlohexidine soaks

You know i swear by Manuka honey..must be at least 10 though. Not sure if would work as piggie probably lick off. rolleyes

this (applied at least 3 times a day, rub it in, don't expose to the direct sunlight after that for a while as it's photosensitive):
http://www.gorgeousguineas.co.uk/p/product/0901049832-FM+Ointment+-+50gm+Pot:+MADE+TO+ORDER/

we had a bad case, took 3 months to heal, but the combination of the above cream and antibiotics and keeping the cage always super-dry and clean helped us.

I got advise to not soak the foot (quite categorically) after a dry scab has formed as it only ruins the progress, worked for us.
