So I only just noticed it as it came out of nowhere, is anyone able to determine what it is? I don't want another guinea pig dying of illness because he is 6 years old and will be very sensitive to things if its serious.
I’m afraid we can’t tell you what it is - any lumps do require a hands on vet check for diagnosis - abscesses, cysts etc occur and need to be checked out particularly if they are fast growing.
I hope your piggy is ok
The only way I can kind of describe it is it looks kinda like a vein? If that makes sense? It doesn't look like something attached but it could be a bump or something under his skin I'm just hoping its nothing serious because I've already had 2 guinea pigs die last year.
Definitely get him along to a vet.
The good news is that guinea pigs get all sorts of funny lumps and bumps, and most of them are easily treated and nothing serious.
Hopefully this is the case with your boy.
