Just some advice really. We have two boys, one long haired one short. Short haired boy seems to get a collection of poop and hair stuck up his butt, I assume from butt dragging. Without being too graphic I pull out what I can every couple days to avoid impaction - is this okay or should I just leave it?

As for bits - long haired piggie seems to get some of his hair almost sucked up into his penis 'pouch' Haha. It's not really in a place where I can trim - he's a very wiggly piggie and I don't want to risk catching his skin. This is the only area I struggle trimming. Between the legs is fine so he doesn't get all pee ridden. My question is whether I need to keep an eye on this and if it could cause infection?

TIA

Please keep an eye on it; especially long hairs getting into the penis shaft strangling the penis. Keep the hairs around the genitals as short as possible and give your boys bum baths with hand warm water.
Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths

My Percy is very lax in the keeping clean department, he would get collections of hay, poop, fur, sawdust, you name it... stuck in his boy bits. I'm not sure what you use as bedding, but I've found since switching to fleece his bits have been a lot cleaner.

My Podrick always seems to have a piece of hay sticking out of his bum. It's like a grounding strip on a car, he'll be fine if he got struck by lightning!

I like to torment my boyfriend by asking him if he thinks the hay was eaten and travelled through or if a bum clench grabbed hold of it. He thinks it's gross, haha.

I tend to gently pull them out for him. I give his bits a check whenever I get them out of the cage and give him a "dusting off" if he needs it.

I've previously posted about my long haired Angus getting hair trapped right up his dinkle - to the point where it's quite firmly wedged! I check him every day and gently trim his upper leg/tummy and bum hair often to stop this.
Such glamour!

My boys are on fleece, tulio just seems to malt and then pics his own hair up in his shaft lol

Thanks for all the advice guys! Bum bath next week then :)
