Good morning all!

I recently bought a bag of Bunny guinea pig food from zooplus as I'm trying to find a pellet food that will help one of my boys digestive issues.

Well, they absolutely hate it. So much that one of them will actively pick them out of the food bowl and drop it next to it. He doesn't want it tainting the dish.

It's not the cheapest of pellets. So, if there's anyone who wants to try some instead of wasting £20+ on food PM me and I'll happily pop a couple of handfuls in the post.

I'm not the quickest at posting things but I promise I will.

I'd offer the whole bag but it's 4kg so would cost a fortune in postage.

I'm in the UK so happy to post anywhere UK based.

I've lost the bit of packaging with the nutritional details on, but it's on the zooplus site, and here's a photo to show the size (next to a 10p):

I agree that if you cannot persuade your guinea pig to eat Bunny it could be an expensive mistake.
My Amos used to eat pellets but when he was about 6 months old I gave him to Bunny mixed with his usual pellets. Gradually I removed the pellets so he just eats 5 Bunny pieces a day. He's been eating these for about 2 yrs now and loves them.
My other 2 guinea pigs aged about 2 yrs old ate pellets prior to me adopting them in Sept 2016. Because I got about 3 different packets of guinea pig pellets they are still eating those but I also mix a few small bits of Bunny in so eventually I will be just feeding them that. I was worried that they would reject the Bunny but as I snuck just small bits of Bunny in with their regular pellets they ate everything in their bowls.
Try perservering a bit longer with the Bunny as I do believe it to be healthier for guinea pigs than normal pellets.

I would love to try the bunny pellets with my pigs as I saw them at Val's when I went to pick my 6ft hutches up and I remember her saying you don't need to feed many a day but I feel like my guinea pigs, especially Popcorn my oldest one, would hate these so it would probably get wasted here as well.

I too have Bunny Dream Basic, they loved it before, but now they won't eat it. Happy to send sample to anyone if you want to try it.

Bunny is a really good pellet but it does vary between batches on whether my pigs will eat it or not, think it depends how baked it is.

That's interesting about the variation between batches. I got a trial amount from @theoretikos a few months back, and am planning to buy a bigger amount now (tying in with a ZP cat food order). I shall cross my fingers...

All of mine came with a bag of Bunny.
It is the 'recommended' food here in Switzerland.
As far as I know most breeders and pet shops feed it, and all guinea pigs are sent home with a complimentary bag.
My lot never really loved it, and slowly went off it.
I thought maybe it was because they were on the 'young' version, so I switched to the adult version.
It is still the only food I have ever ended up throwing away!

Looks like it's heading for the bin. It feels like a shame to waste so much food but they're refusing to eat it.

The Verse Laga is going down well though
