Hi All,

I've just made an appointment for Bupu to go to the vets tomorrow she is just looking a bit depressed still, I've noticed she is eating slowly so not sure if she is struggling with her teeth.

her weight is 861g she was 900g when she came but looks so much thinner now! I'm just a little concerned so want to make sure she is ok. If it is her teeth then my vets don't put them under GA. :)

Will keep you posted! She's a lovely girl, a little nervous still and I am hoping that she is just getting used to indoor life but we'll see.

Weighed Maggie too she is 997g which I am thrilled with as she is 5 years old and Nutty who is 1 year old and 1133g. I will take them all up tomorrow with Bupu so she has company and it doesn't stress her too much!

Poor Bupu - I'd been hoping she'd settled in well with Maggie (good girl!) and Nutty! Hopefully, it's her teeth and she can be sorted easily!

I find that company keeps my piggies a lot calmer on a trip to the vets, unless they have to go in for an op.

Best vibes for Bupu!

At least there is no GA.
So the next question is do they know what to do to the teeth, how to do it and why?
Unless the vet, or anyone else, knows what is normal they cannot be expected to recognise the abnormal.

Yep Al they are great with the teeth I have known people to go to them and have their pigs done without problems.

Bupu is happily munching at the mo. I have a feeling she is just slowing down but is perfectly fine but I will rest more easier knowing she has been seen by my vet John who is wonderful with pigs. :)

Best of luck for Bupu Louise, hopefully all is well x

Bupu is ok. :) She has no teeth problems...I went off that idea this morning as well as she whizzed through a carrot quicker than Maggie and then pinched hers! :(|)

Looks like she is just on guard all the time and never relaxes because she has been bullied so much in the past. She will remain a house pig and hopefully in time she will gain our trust (she doesn't trust me to stroke her or feed out of the hand as yet)

She could also be missing Esme and Goldmoon but she can't go back with them, they bullied her too much.

Thanks for the good vibes! I'm still weighing her daily, hopefully any weight changes will be a gain and not a loss! :)
