Today in the pet store I saw some of these Burgess food cubes and at £7.49 a box of 4 cubes seems very expensive as it would cost me £15 a week to feed both piggies
I bought a box to see what they thought of them.

Well they are 4 big cubes in a box, They smell like the B&O nuggets, SO far Both Mojo & Smudgey have given them a sniff and thats it.

I am going to stick with the fresh veg, nuggets and hay with the odd piece of fruit as a treat.
I would not call them a complete food as there is no fresh veg with it and they do not get unlimited hay.

Mine are like this. I brought them hay cookies once but they wasn't even bothered about them so they just get meadow hay for bedding and Timothy in their food balls. Fussy piggies!

Mine pounced on them, but got fed up with them pretty quickly.

I personally would be happy to buy them for my pigs as an occasional treat, but certainly wouldn't feed them as a complete food.

mine have one in the pen right now, thought it might add a distraction and they have been munching on it occasionally, if they manage to eat it over a period of time then so be it, its not the only food they have in there, just think its a cool idea for mine as its something to really get their teeth into - litterally

well Mojo & Smudgy have not touched them, Ive tried breaking them up a bit so they know its got hay in it but they are not interested.

I'll give the last 2 to my cousin and see if her pigs like them as a tasty treat.

I have tried these too.

My two will have a nibble but aren't really that interested!

Complete waste of money if you ask me.

I was given a box (thank you Amanda) to try, Baldric loves them! He eats a lot so always has an extra bowl of nuggets/softened nuggets/treat nuggets at bedtime so he doesn't drop any weight - as he is a skinny he has a very fast metabolism so eats a LOT.

I haven't changed his daily food routine except that he has the food cube instead of his bedtime 'sweeties' - one lasts about 3 days and his weight is nice and stable.

He's just about to start on his 4th one so I suppose I'll be getting him more boxes of it from now on, after all he does deserve the best.

Nope, I've tried them...my darling hubby was walking about the pet shop and he picked them up, but my 4 don't like them. Complete waste, not even buttercup whose got quite an appetite will touch them.

Makes me wonder what it is they don't like?

mine is slowly going down, they are having a good nibble at it but not going mad for it, think it serves as what I thought, something to get their teeth into

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! x) x) x) x)

Mine have the cubes as an occasional treat and distraction when the weather's rubbish and they need a change of scenery ( cue the random arrival of a strange food object in the middle of their house), Livvy Lou gobbles them up and Moonpig enjoys a good nibble now and then. The girls have usually demolished theirs in a couple of days whereas Rocket makes his last a bit longer.

I am going away for 4 days so to try and make it easier for my OH I got some of these , one box will be enough for my rabbit , but I thought the pigs might like them as a treat so I got them a box feeding 5 pigs like this would be crazy money!
