I just got my 2 piggies a couple of days ago and bought them this hay. When I put it out for them it seems to be all very short pieces, like 3 inches or so, and very dusty. Is this a bad batch, or is it just not a good type of hay to get? I also bought some Bob Martin meadow hay which was half the price, smells great and is all nice long strands. They love it and won't touch the Excel stuff! Is the Bob Martin good enough quality to use all the time?

Welcome to the forum.
The Excel is usually good but this is a bad time of year for hay as you are now buying what was cut at the tail end of last summer. I'm afraid I haven't used Bob Martin, hopefully someone else will be along soon. I usually buy my hay on line from Natures Own or the Burgess from Vetuk. The last lot of Burgess I bought was alright but the Natures Own was very dusty and short.
