Burgess recovery food

Good morning everyone

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience giving the burgess excel dualcare as pellets? My guinea pigs are fine but just wanted to give them a little boost whilst on antibiotics.

When giving them as pellets - do you replace their normal pellets with this? Or you give it on top of their normal pellets?

You replace their normal pellets with the dualcare.
Hay is still their main food intake.

Alternatively, not use the dualcare at all and instead just give a probiotic such as pro-c or fibreplex: 1-2 hours before or after an antibiotic dose.

As dualcare already contains pre/probiotics, you should not give dualcare and a separate probiotic such as pro-c or fibreplex.

If your piggies like DC you can offer it instead of pellets. If it causes soft stools, cut back and offer it along with their usual pellets
