I got some samples from Burns... but unsure what I'm allowed to give my guinea pigs. I gave them the bag of dandilion and they are find but I have 3 bags left of
Burns Meadow Mix For Rabbits
Plantain Sample and
Coltsfoot sample

are they safe to give to my guinea pigs?
I'm only asking because I remember my foster parents feeding a lump of grass to my rabbit some years ago and it has something in it which killed him (piece of stick or something from the hedge)
 
I'm pretty sure that they can have the plantain and the coltsfoot as they are on the list of edible weeds on pampered piggys.

I too have had samples from burns and my pigs loved them! :)

I'm not sure what is in the meadow mix? Does its say?

You need to google burns guinea pig food then email them for the samples. they send 4 kinda big bags.


Ok. No it says ntohing about whats in the Meadow feed... I'll feed the other two... I am warey about the meadow mix altho I doubt they'd give me bad stuff... are rabbits and guinea pigs kinda the same when it comes to food (apart from the guinea pig needing the vit C)?
 
Just checked the website and it gives the ingredients for the Rabbit Meadowfeed. Its says Dandelion, chicory, plantain, mint, milfoil, chamomile, marigold, nettle, birch tree leaf and willow bark. Hope this helps.
 
From the ingredient's list the meadow mix looks ok too. I'm sure i have fed that one as i had those samples too. :)

I fed them all, I got a box and filled it with lots of hay, and then put the different herbs in, I had some from Pampered piggies too, and the piggies love it... Thought it'd be like foraging for them :))!
