My Guinea Pig keeps burrowing under the fleece cage liner I got for him, does anyone know why?

Sometimes they just like to do it. Can you try clipping the liner to the side of the cage/correx? Sometimes this works.

Does he live with another piggy or is he alone?

We weight our fleecy liners down with wooden hidey houses and corner hay trays that clip to the bars, he might just be being inquisitive but maybe he is cold or scared of being out in the open? You could add a fleecy tunnel or snuggle sack so he can burrow in fleece and stay warm and hide without messing up the flooring.

But also as @Piggies&buns says please make sure he has a friend!

Oh don’t get me started! My pigs are the absolute worst in the history of the universe for this. It’s a battle of wills. Mine do it because they would rather sit in a puddle of their own pee on the base of the cage than in a nice cozy pen. I use a million safety pins to try and stop it.
