You and your brother Zach came to live with me at the end of 2006. You needed a special forever home where you could stay together. You both had such big personalities and at first I was unsure whether you would be able to stay together. Everytime I went into the room you would square up to one another and start to play fight. You never actually made contact with one another, but at times it looked rather daunting! I soon realised it was just play, and an act you put on whenever you had an audience! At other times you pottered around the cage, eating together at the food bowl and would stand side by side at the bars waiting for your veggies. In fact you were inseparable! You just liked to play the tough guys!

That's why I knew something was seriously wrong this morning. I came in with veggies and neither of you appeared. I saw Zach pop his little head out from his house to look at me, but when I moved your house Buster, you were lay in a forever sleep. You looked so peaceful! I just can't believe you have gone. You didn't look ill, you hadn't lost weight, nothing to give me any indication that you were feeling poorly.

Sleep well my special little tough guy! Zach looks so sad and lonely and all the fight and sparkle seems to have gone out of him!

I know Schmichael will look after you at Rainbow Bridge! Please tell him we all love him so much.

I love you Buster, you are going to be missed so much.

All my other males are in pairs and Zach is such a strong character I don't think it would be a good idea to add him to any of their groups. I can't see him wanting to live alone though, as he's been with Buster all his life. I am wondering about possibly getting him neutered so he can have a few girlfriends. I think that would really cheer him up, but will see how he seems in a few days time.
 
So sorry to hear about Buster. I hope he is happy & free over the rainbow bridge.

I lost my boy Aragon nearly 2 weeks ago & his friend Legolas was devastated for days. It is so hard watching their friends try & understand where their best friend has gone to, but no doubt you will give Zach all the extra love & cuddles he needs. My Legolas is better, but still runs round the lounge trying to find & call his friend & that is hard to see, but I know Aragon is Ok & happy & I hope you will be able to hold onto that too for your darling Buster.

You know how sad i am Debbie, what laughs these boys' antics have given me in the past x) Poor Zach will be bereft without sparring partner :( I do hope he's ok, give him a hug from me x

Debbie, I'm sorry, I've only just seen this. I am saddened to hear about sweet little Buster, such a shock for you to lose him like this. I love the photo of the two of them, and hope Zach will be o.k.

Debbie, I'm so sorry you lost Buster. Poor Zach, it's awful when they are so bewildered as to why their friend is no longer there :(
