I got a sewing machine for my birthday two months ago and quickly learned that the sewing machine required A LOT of help from me to make stuff. Since I am no natural, I hated sewing in school, it's been a lot of trial and error...

Inspired by Pollie I decided I would practise until I could make stuff good enough to sell to raise funds, and now I think I'm almost there :) This lot is going to the rescue when I go home for easter (together with the practise stuff that's a bit wonkier, but I figured would work for rescue piggies anyway :) )

It's brag time...

Oh Petra!

I am so delighted! Teehee, the items you ordered from me were actually industrial espionage!

Your finished products look fantastic and very tasteful. I have found sewing a very good way to raise funds and help piggies all over the place feel warm and snuggly.

It's such a shame we don't live closer together as we could swap materials and sewing tips!

Pollie.

Wow, they look really professional. You must be so pleased with the way they've turned out. There'll be some happy piggies cosing down in them soon. :)

Brillinat! I so need to get or at least comandeer a sewing machine. I've been making bags and beds for weeks and i feel like I'm getting no where by hand. I love that dragonfly fabric.

You sew very well for someone that hasn't done it much :) you must be a natural! The fabrics you picked are lovely too, some guineas are going to be having a real experience getting in those for the first time!

I am impressed - so far, I have managed two tunnels and one square bed by hand...

Congrats petra! they look fab and i am using that website to make cozies to fundraise for the cavy rescue and retreat fun day... that pattern was much easier than the first few i made!

I love that dragonfly fabric.

It was on sale for £2.50 /metre! I have some in bright blue too, and might buy some more of the yellow... :)

Wiebke, sewing by hand takes so much more effort!

Lovelygirl, agree, this cozy pattern is the easiest I've found. I've also found it a lot easier to not do fleece on both sides. The tunnel is just as easy! When I sew the cuffs I don't even pin! (which is great because I'm lazy...)
