With 23 pigs ready for rehoming at my house, I've been in need of a full-on piggy weekend, so this weekend is it!

I've got 5 lots of people visiting on Sunday, and am spending tomorrow doing the usual cleaning, but hope the weather is nice enough to get them out in the runs and give the hutches a good air.

I've also got a LOT of grooming and nails to do, they seem to be growing faster than ever at the moment.

Not to mention paperwork!

I'd like a full-time job as a guinea-carer - it keeps me just as busy as my 'real' job at the moment!

Fingers crossed lots of piggies find lovely homes at the weekend

Me too - I'd especially like the babies to go, as I hate to think their new owners are missing out on the early days, seems such a waste.

It's the most I've had ready to go at once, I've got an idea of who is suited to which visitors so we'll start there!

Good luck and best wishes from me, too, Sophie! Especially with the little ones - I loved my surprise babies even though they were most inconvenient. They were so much fun and I was heartbroken when I had to give them away!

I'm going the other way: I'm going to pick up a lonely lady from this website tomorrow - apology, it's not one of yours, but that would be a six hour round trip! And my long suffering husband is none too chuffed with the three hour excursion I've saddled him with this time round...

Fingers crossed for everybody!

Good luck with it all, hope they all find homes. Where do the people you have coming find out about your g.ps? is it generally on your website?

Yes they mostly come either through the website (which comes up if you search for Guinea pig rescue norfolk / harleston / norwich etc) or through Guinea Pig Rehome. I don't advertise with posters or anything

That's such good news about the piggies who have found new homes! I hope they will have lovely, long & happy lives! x)x)

As for the babies, I got my most recent pair of babies from a rescue & it was the best thing I have ever done! I wouldn't buy from a shop again. They had a very rough start in life, but they will be spoilt rotten with food, bed, 3 'brothers', 1 crazy guinea loving cocker spaniel & of course lots & lots of love! Having them from such a young age is a huge blessing & I feel so lucky to have them in my life. I am incredibly grateful for their foster carer who basically brought Bobby back to the life he deserves.

Rescues do an amazing job & you should be very proud of the work you do, especially when you send little piggies of to their new forever home! Let's hope the rest of the piggies are just as lucky!

I hope all went well today ... sounds like you were really busy!

It is great when gp's can go in the run for some fresh air and the hutches/cages can get an airing also.

Any more news?

Well 8 in total went to new homes on Sunday - bless them! It's quiet around here...

Still got 12 ready to go to new homes though, and 2 reserved

And the rest - are mine rolleyes
