buttercups- flowers and leaves

Sorry, meant to add this to my other question.....I wondered as well about buttercups as when i put my pigs out on grass on the rare occasions the weather is nice enough i can find it hard to find a patch without buttercups to put them in and i've heard they can be poisonous to some animals. Should i worry about them or are they safe? I've read the list but can't see them mentioned at all.

When we suddenly lost our two boys back in the summer to the runs, one of the first questions the rodentologist asked was 'any chance they have eaten buttercups?' (They hadn't) so I think it's very harmful.
