buying new piggys

I have one male and one female guinea pig. I recently built a 27 square feet big cage, right now it isn't in use, i planned on buying 6 more guinea pigs, but then i remembered you should have a certain number of males and females. When it searched up i couldn't find any information to that.
Hoping someone can tell me how many males and females i should have if i have 8 guinea pigs or if it even matters.

Only one male in with any number of females or the males would fight.

Please note that the male would need a six week wait after being neutered before being safe to join the females.
