Hi guys

As some of you know my poor Buzz had an abscess drained (a million times it felt like!) then had surgery to have it removed on his neck. He's about 6 weeks post surgery. Well... I've just found another lump which feels the same, about the size of a small marble in almost exactly the same place! They said they removed lymph nodes as they were abnormal and the capsule to the original abscess. This can't be scar tissue feeling like this surely? It's a bit higher than before, more on the jaw to neck. Anyone ever had anything like this?

Thank you.

Ps. He's still fine, eating, popcorning, weighs the same etc.

Poor Buzz.
Can you get him to a vet soon?
Hopefully it will not prove to be anything serious.
Holding you in my thoughts

Thank you! Yes I will call them tomorrow. I think this is the same infection presenting in a different node. He's fine, I'm not panicking, more gutted after all he has been through already x

I am very sorry; it could be another abscess? :(

It feels like it but a small one. Surely it would be from the same infection though? I only felt it again giving him a scratch and thought I don't believe it 😭

You have obviously caught whatever it is very early on. :tu:

Please have it vet checked. All we can do is guess as much as you.

I spotted if literally five mins after the vet closed today 🙈 I will call tomorrow, my vet doesn't work Tuesday so hopefully she can see me tomorrow otherwise it'll be Wednesday. I'm not panicking, I'm just gutted for him. This started the first weekend in May. We thought it was over x

Thank you! He's booked in for Wednesday at 4.40. The way I'm looking at it is that it was only 6ish weeks ago that she opened him up and had a good look in there, so I think it's unlikely to be anything more sinister than pesky nodes/abscess etc as she would have seen it. He's fine, mummy is just a bit stressed 🤦‍♀️

Poor little fella, wishing you both all the luck for your appointment on Wednesday, hope it’s easily dealt with x

I've just picked him up and it was all sticky, it's defo an abscess and now it's a burst one! I called the vet and moved the app to first thing, I've cleaned it with hibiscrub and then think there is a second one already empty. I squeezed it and nothing came out of that. The other abscess is now empty too. He's still fine. I'm starting to panic now. I've got photos x

Poor Buzz, hope he makes a speedy recovery, he’s going through the wars at the moment poor chap x
