My beautiful Bertie a few days ago he stopped eating, he then perked up and was back at the bars demanding food. Yesterday morning he was quiet but still ate some grass. grown in a tray just for guineas. When I tucked him up last night I knew he was thinking of trotting off over the Bridge. Bye bye my beautiful Bertie (aka Gilbert Guinea on special days) you were such a cuddle monster and a Diva will miss you terribly. I have my girls but you were my special little man. xxxxxx
ps Bertie is the piggie in my avatar and that is how I will remember him asking for food at his door. xx
 
My heart sank when I saw his name. I am so sorry Sue. Bertie was a special piggie and had lots of fans on the forum. Huge hugs to you.

thanks I hope they have found each other and are playing in the freedom over the Bridge. It grieves me to think that Bertie was a lone piggie, I never got round to getting him a friend. He used to look at Jen and Fiz when they were in their separate runs in the garden but he loved his Mum the best, and used to snuggle in to me...
 
I'm so sorry for the loss of your handsome boy. My thoughts are with you. R.I.P. Bertie. xx
 
I am so sorry. I still miss Aztec (right hand piggie in my avatar) and she died before my son was born, - hes 8 now so they do leave a piggie-shaped hole in your heart. Bertie was a beautiful boy :)
