Junior Guinea Pig
Dear Bubbles,
Almost seventeen years ago, we found you, a five-week old little bit, wandering around on the side of the road at a race we were volunteering at. Your squeaky cute mew stole our mother's heart, and we took you home, and you became a part of our family.
There's no way I can sum up our time together as a family, but in the time you were with us (which was for almost my entire life as well), here are some things that you shared with us:
- Lots and lots of lunch meat, string cheese, and milkshakes!
- That cute meerkat-esque begging thing you used to do so well.
- Keeping our feet warm on chilly mornings.
- Curling up by the fire (when we still had a fireplace).
- Many bathtimes, spine-scratches, and face rubs.
But more importantly, you shared with us your heart, and with you, we shared ours.
You shared approximately 6,205 days with us, 148,920 hours with us, 8,935,200 minutes with us, 536,112,000 seconds with us. And in all those seconds and minutes and hours and days, you taught me what it means to unconditionally love someone who relies on you for everything, from food and water, to protection, to healthcare, and more. Because of you, I can commit myself to caring for our other two cats, my two guinea pigs, and our two hamsters. Because of you, I can commit myself to caring for a new kitten who we promised to adopt.
Thank you for your love, your heart, and your life, Bubbles.
Sincerely,
Your Fur-Moms, Emily and Cheryl and Ellen.
