Mr Pig, who didn't even get as far as having a real name, died peacefully in the early hours of this morning. He came as part of the group of pigs from Wells on Friday but unfortunately was not very well and didn't make it through the night.

Despite only having him for a day, I had already got very attached to him and even moreso after spending the night nursing him. I've only got one picture that I took last night:

Run free at the bridge with baby Beatrice, Mr Pig - whatever relation she was to you, we'll never know!

O Sophie.
How sad that already 2 of them have died.

There must be something seriously wrong with these piggies but at least they're in good hands now.
You're doing a very special job looking after them.
Well done to you and Ron for taking care of them.

RIP Mr Pig 0:)

I'm so very sorry. I think Mr Pig is a lovely name for such a beautiful boy.

Sleep well, little love x

Spent the day gardening and Mr Pig is buried in a new flower bed with some lovely flowers to mark the spot.

Silly I know but I'm more upset about him than I have been about some of the pigs that I've had for longer that have died. Still crying! :'(

Tried promising him that I would pair him up with a lovely friend once he was better but he just didn't have the strength to fight.

I stll get emotional and teary eyed thinking about Little B :'(
But then i get angry about where they came from and Well the thoughts aren't nice!
:tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

I've been alternating between upset and fuming angry all day! Poor pigs. Was really looking forward to him being part of my flock... he was such a sweetie, as was Beatrice. What a waste.

Ron I don't know how to post other people's pics here but if you could post the one that you took of Mr Pig in the carrier, it is nicer than the one I took last night - thank you

Thank you, that's a nicer one to remember him by but it's just set me off again! :'( :'( :'(

Haven't cried this much over a piggy since my first pig Pepsi died when I was 11!

Thank for posting the pic Ron.

Aww, poor little chap, he was such a cutie :'(

Run free at the bridge, Mr Pig :smitten:

You did a grand job with him Sophie even though he was with you for such a short time - he was with someone who loved him at the end and that is important.

RIP Mr Pig - enjoy popcorning and munching at Rainbow Bridge. 0:)

Sophie, you are a wonderful person for caring for these little piggies. I like to believe once I settle in my own place I would do the same. There are not many people out there like you who can do this. You are very special. It's ok to cry all you want. Mr. Pig probably didn't have a very good life and that alone would make me cry. But thank goodness he had you in the end to love him. He was lucky you were there for him. He died with love and not alone. I don't know much about where these poor little piggies come from. In America I haven't heard of guinea pig rescues, but I'm going to look into it. I'm so sorry for your loss, but be proud that you did a wonderful thing. RIP Mr. Big. You will be in my prayers little one... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

So very sorry.
RIP Mr Pig. 0:) :smitten:

rip Mr. Pig, was gutted when I saw your post on general about this :'( so glad you found him & looked after him though, Sophie

Thank you everyone for you kind words, they mean a lot.

At least Mr Pig is with baby Beatrice and Alice, there's a whole little family at rainbow bridge now 0:)

I can't water the plant that is where he is buried because I don't want him to get wet! 98)
