Hi, I bought a c&c cage from Facebook marketplace a while back to pair with my current cage. Turns out that the squares were not the same size so never fit together. However I’m now planning to use it as a home for when we come back from my term time home for the holidays but can’t find a liner to put in the bottom to use it. The squares are 30cmX30cm and it was set up in a 3x5 set up (90cmX150cm). Does anyone know where I would be able to find one as I'm not really in the mood to take the other one which they’re in currently back with me.

TIA

Hi! Are you trying to find a liner that would fit your new to you grids?

I don’t have any liners that fit our boys home, we do mix and match like a jigsaw puzzle, and use smaller liners, with various pee pads in houses & favourite spots, on top. Our washing machine also prefers the smaller liners. The biggest fleece liner we use is 2x4 grid size.
Do you have smaller liners you could use like this?
Alternatively when we go away we sometimes do half the cage with puppy pads and a single layer of fleece fabric on top. I find I have to change it more often when I do that.

Do be aware that some grids have bigger openings & there is a possibility of a guinea pig getting their head stuck.

To add to the above, bigger liners are a nuisance to get in and out of the washing machine. I have 2x3, 2x4 and 2x6 liners and the 2x3 are definitely my preference. Smaller ones, like a 3x2 and a 2x2, would be what I'd go for.

My C&C cages are different sizes and shapes. I have 3x2, 2x2 and 2x1 fleece liners with pee pads for the most used areas make life easy. I use bobble mats in the hay area piles as it's easier to brush the hay off the mats. I have one 5x2 sized liner that we use for floor time, it's a pain to wash as it's really too big for the machine.

sorry i haven’t made it clear, i’m looking for a base for it. i already have bath mats to line it, but i don’t just want them on the floor.

sorry i don’t think i’d made it clear, the problem is that i don’t have the base for the cage, so they would be on the floor if i used it in the current state. i have bath mats which i’ll be using to line it but don’t really want them to be that near to the cold floor

I have some of those interlocking foam play mats, I got them from b&q but other places sell them and they are cheap. Obviously I make sure the beastie boys can't get to them.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I think wickes sell something called proplex, which is thin, and easy to turn into a base.
When travelling we use a layer of plastic sheeting similar to a shower curtain.
All hidden away under cage liners to prevent an exploratory nibble!

Hope this gives you a few ideas

We buy a sheet of 4mm coraplast from Amazon and cut it down to size ,

The last couple of times I've done the cage I've used a sheet of canvas, the eyelets on the sides means I can zip tie it to the cage on three sides (to catch wayward bedding, poop, or food that gets lost through the bars) and then the final side I leave a longer edge along the floor, because that's the side I usually cut to size.
